Abstract or project description

My project explores the changes in mental health experienced by individuals between the onset of puberty and the point at which they achieve independence from their families. I will examine social acceptance and rejection, as well as the link between social media usage and rising levels of depression and anxiety. Additionally, I will highlight the role of fMRI scans in revealing alterations in adolescent brain activity before and after the introduction of social media. To support my findings, I will also present survey data on the average daily social media usage among teenagers, contributing to a comprehensive understanding of these issues.
