Bio

Hi! I'm excited to support you as you navigate your research project! A little bit about me: I'm passionate about building and investing in businesses that solve problems and scale with both economic and social impact in mind. I am currently working on launching a startup in the Fashion Tech sector. I recently completed my MBA from NYU Stern Business School where I also completed internships in Venture Capital and across business functions at startups. Before that I worked for c.8 years across Management Consulting and Product Management, predominantly at global financial institutions. I look forward to supporting you to find and complete a research project regarding business growth, startups, social sciences or consumer products that you are passionate about exploring more. Additionally, I'm also open to talk about career options in these areas and share how I've navigated different opportunities and career pivots in consulting, tech, VC and startups. Outside of work I love to try new activities with friends, play group sports, and travel when I can. I've now travelled to 40+ countries and lived in 5 countries: England, Spain, Denmark, Wales, USA.

Project ideas

Project ideas are meant to help inspire student thinking about their own project. Students are in the driver seat of their research and are free to use any or none of the ideas shared by their mentors.

Identify a startup idea and prepare to pitch for Venture Capital funding

Based on where your interest lies, you can choose an industry (food, beauty, fashion, climate, pets etc) and explore the ways to identify a business idea and qualify the opportunity. As part of this project, we would explore frameworks to evaluate ideas and what pillars need to be assessed to qualify the idea and pitch it. For example; competitive landscape, business model, market drivers, target customers etc. The outcome of this project could be a business pitch deck for funding to present your idea.

How does a sustainability narrative influence consumer behaviour and accountability of brands?

You could choose an industry that you’re interested in (e.g. beauty, fashion, food), a age demographic, and then explore the difference in consumer perception and brand accountability between different brand approaches, such as: brands that have some sustainable practices and don’t market them at all, brands that have some sustainable practices and share in marketing materials but it isn the focus, brands that have sustainability at the core of their messaging and mission. We’ll construct a structured research plan to understand what influences consumer behaviour to deduce why some brands are outperforming others, if consumers hold brands that use sustainability marketing to a higher level than those that don’t, and understand why some brands that have sustainable practices are choosing not to market them. The output could be a presentation or research paper with your analysis and findings summarising if marketing sustainability is generally a positive or negative impact and why some brands choose not to as part of their GTM plan.
