Bio
Throughout my career thus far, I have worked in several different spaces, from developing bioreactors to building robotic farming devices. After receiving my bachelor's degree, I worked as a materials engineer for Lululemon. My work in footwear as an engineer was geared towards creating shoes that were specifically made for women and their biological differences from men. This has inspired me to go back to school to get my Master's in Biomedical Engineering with the goal of improving wearable technology for women's health. As for me, I enjoy reading, participating in intramural sports with my friends, trying new restaurants and being outdoors.Project ideas
Designing, CAD Modeling, and Prototyping Child Safe Nail Clipper
Whether its a child wanting to do their own nails or a parent with a newborn, trimming ones nails can quickly turn painful if cut too short! This project could do research about average nail bed lengths and apply that to make a new nail clipper that has a built in guard that would prevent nails from being too short. Through research, sketching, CAD modeling, then prototyping, the product could go through several iterations of desingAdditionally, the prototype could limit the noisy snap of a traditional clipper while also catching the trimmings. After prototyping, the project could go through user studies to ensure the usability of the prototype with different groups and ages of people.
