With a background in biomedical data science, Alice is driven by a passion for developing computational tools that address complex biological challenges. She has created methods to map cell-to-cell communication networks, enabling the discovery of novel drug targets, and has advanced tools that accelerate drug design with the goal of expediting clinical translation. Teaching experience

Alice Yu has an extensive experience mentoring and teaching with a strong background in life sciences, data science, and entrepreneurship. She was a teaching assistant for multiple Stanford graduate-level courses, including Computational Analysis of Biological Information, Modeling Biological Systems, and Precision Practice in Big Data. She has also mentored high school through graduate-level students in various research internal and published oncology-focused bioinformatics projects. Outside of academia, she has guided many research scientists at startups within drug discovery and development space.
